Mont Tremblant will be the
North American IRONMAN
Championships for 2013.
This year's running of Mont Tremblant Ironman will start with a 2.4-mile swim in Tremblant Lake by my good friend Rob Flower tackling his second Ironman. Unless you have participated in a triathlon, you really can not understand the mental fortitude it takes to accomplish such a feat, and we are all very proud of Rob F. for his accomplishment of Ironman #2.
The 112-mile bike course runs through Mont-Tremblant’s forests and low lying mountains, offering challenging elevations and highly spectator-friendly vantage points.
The 26.2-mile run course takes full advantage of the famous Le P’tit Train du Nord, a former railway bed turned into the longest linear park in Canada. The crushed gravel is soft on the feet, and lined with enthusiastic spectators. The run takes runners past a waterfall alongside Tremblant Lake and into the heart of the pedestrian village of Tremblant Resort.
